Mrs. Mary Kuehneisen Dies After Being Mangled by Trolley
Injuries received Tuesday morning at 6:45 o'clock when she was struck by a street car in Tioga street in Pittsburgh caused the death at 10:15 o'clock Thursday morning in Columbia Hospital, Wilkinsburg, of Mrs. Mary S. Kuehneisen, 47 years old, of 1519 Wood street, Wilkinsburg, a former resident of Dunbar and Uniontown. Mrs. Kuehneisen had her right leg amputated above the knee as a result of the accident.
Mrs. Kuehneisen is survived by her husband, Arthur; her father, Lincoln Smitley of Dunbar; five brothers, Adam K. Smitley of Bobtown, John Smitley of Percy, Peter Smitley and Lincoln Smitley of Dunbar, and Thomas Smitley of Gilman, Iowa, and two sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Wadsworth of Republic and Mrs. Margaret Gray at Church Hill, Dunbar.
The body was removed by Funeral Director James T. Durham to the home of her sister, Mrs. Gray, where the funeral service will be held at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Burial will be made in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
