BLUFF CITY, Tenn. Lora Jean Powers Ramsey Dorton, 70, died Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Wellmont Hospice House, Bristol, Tenn. She was born in Virginia City, Va.; daughter of the late James Garland Powers. She was preceded in death by one brother, Hershel L. Powers and a special friend, Rodney Frazier. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was formerly of Castlewood, Va. She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Sturgill and husband, Jerry of Cedar Bluff, Va.; one son, Bobby Ramsey and wife, Tammy of Bluff City; her special dog, Bullet; mother, Virginia Salyers of Castlewood; one brother, Jim Powers of Rogersville, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services and Interment for Lora Jean Powers Ramsey Dorton will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012, in the Chapel of Love Mausoleum, Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, with the Rev. Rick Hearld officiating. Family and Friends will meet at the cemetery on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012, in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood.
