John BRYANT was a son of James BRYANT (-1850) & Mary REDDICK BRYANT (1771-1855).
When he married Nancy she was a widow of James F. "Joe" HUDSON with three children: Joseph age 14, James age 10, and Mary age 8.
John and my "Grandma Nancy" had three children together:
William, John Lafayette "Fate", and Willmouth Elizabeth. Only John Jr.made it to adulthood according to the HUDSON/BRYANT Family Bible.
John was a planter according to the 1850 census.
