Harlan was the son of Lyman Joseph Cox & Katie Jane Ledington. Harlan came to Oklahoma in 1889 with his parents. He was a farmer and later employed by local businesses and City of Crescent. He married Lydia Fagan on November 25, 1909 in Crescent, Oklahoma To this union was born 3 daughters. Opal, Lucille, and Dorothy. Lydia in buried in the Houston area. Harlan married on July 3, 1926 at Techumseh, Oklahoma, Lilly Frashieur. Harlan and Lillie had 3 children, Tilda, Alva Joe, and Robert.
Harlan Cox died at the age of 80, his funeral was held Saturday, March 11, 1967 Crescent Assembly of God Church with Rev. Leon Martin and Rev. Ronald Allen officiating.
I have no proof that my great aunt Lydia was married in Guthrie or Crescent. The children say they married in Crescent. They probably did get the marriage license at the court house in Guthrie, so did her sister, but she was not married in Guthrie.
