George Alvin Ouzts, 73, husband of the late Mrs. Jennie Belle Martin Ouzts of Bel Air Road, Martinez, died at an Augusta infirmary Sunday morning [February 1, 1959] after and extended illness. Internment in West View Cemetery. Mr Ouzts a native of Edgefield county SC, was a member of McKendree Methodist Church. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. O. E. Rollins of Martinez and Mrs. Rufus P. Johnson of Hodges SC; three sisters Mrs. S. W. Harling, Mrs. Maxie Burnett and Mrs. Ernest Rabon all of Greenwood. ; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Elliott Sons Chapel. Augusta Chronicle, February 2, 1959.
