Mutineer of the HMS Bounty. He was buried in an unknown gravesite on Pitcairn Island; the only memorial for him is a cenotaph on Norfolk Island, 3300 miles west of Pitcairn and 930 miles east of Sydney. Christian never came near this island and its only connection with the HMS Bounty is that descendants of the mutineers on Pitcairn later settled here. (bio by: Bobb Edwards)
