Mr. Eakin, a son of Levi and Lena Eakin, was born at Pineville, Warren County on April 25, 1895. He attended the Pleasantville Hight School and was married at Pleasantville to Miss Evelyn Wagner of June 6, 1917.
He served in World War I and was overseas nine months. He was a member of Cleo J. Ross post, American Legion, the Titusville Rifle Club and the Oil Creek Beagle club. Mr Eakin was well known for his thoroughbred beagle kennels.
Besides the wife, he leaves three sisters: Mrs George Miller of the Spring Creek road, Mrs William Nobles of Garland and Mrs George Stephens of Shamburg.
