Daughter of David Riggs and Eliabeth Bates. She married Loyal Cheeseman on 18 Nov 1886.
Washington Observer, Washington PA, Monday 25 July 1938, page 5 - MRS. EDMONIA FLORA CHEESEMAN, 73, died at 6:15 p.m., Saturday, July 23, in her home at Cheeseman Stop, in Peters Township. She had been ill eight days. She was the widow of LOYAL CHEESEMAN, who died May 7, 1935. She was a daughter of MR. and MRS. DAVID RIGGS and was born December 13, 1864, at Library. She had been a resident of Peters Township for 36 years. She was a member of the Center Presbyterian Church and of its Missionary Society and Bible Class and was always a faithful worker in the church. She was also a member and past president of the Peters Township Farm Women's Society. Surviving are four children, J. H. CHEESEMAN, of Canonsburg; MRS. JAMES STURGEON, of Hamilton, O.; MISS MARY E. CHEESEMAN and J. TAYLOR CHEESEMAN, at home; three sisters, MRS. ELLA DOUGLAS, of Dormont; MISS IDA B. RIGGS, of Pittsburgh, and MRS. ALTA DARGAN, of Boston, Mass., and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 26, at 2 p.m., in the Center Presbyterian Church, in charge of the Rev. R. B. Wilson. Burial will be in the Mingo Cemetery.
