Mrs. George Timmerman, 79, died Tuesday, May 7 at Lundberg Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient about 2 and 1/2 weeks.

Funeral services were conducted Friday with the Rev. Edward Keller, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.

Emma Johanna Reiners was born Sept. 18, 1888 at Palo Alto County, Ia. When a small child, she moved with her parents to Fremont and at the age of 14 came to Knox County.

She was married to George Timmerman on July 21, 1906 at Golgotha Lutheran Church, Wausa. They lived on farms east and northeast of Creighton and moved into Creighton, where she lived until her death. Seven children were born to them, all of whom survive.

The deceased was baptized in the Lutheran faith in Iowa and confirmed at Golgotha Lutheran Church May 1, 1904. She had been a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church since 1919.

Survivors include her husband; children, Alvah of Rockwell, Ia., Mrs. Albert (Frieda) Krugman and Walter of Creighton, Mrs. Henry (Verna) Johnson of Meadow Grove, Mrs. John (Helen) Dubes of Tacoma, Wash., Mrs. Lester (Louise) Baller of Brunswick and Leon of Verdigre; 24 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Adela Putensen of Bloomfield and Mrs. Albert (Marie) Broeker of Sioux Falls, S.D. and one brother, John Reiner of Wessington Springs, S.D.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and three brothers, Sopie, Lena, Mrs. Gilbert (Dorothy) Olsen, Mrs. Ed (Theresa) Smaltz, William, George and Henry.
