Mrs. Ruth Viola Brehm, wife of G. Harper Brehm, RD4, died last evening in the Carlisle Hospital. She was 67 years old.
She was born on Dec. 21, 1898, in Cumberland County, a daughter of the late Dennis and Sarah Kunkel Boyd. She was a life-long member of the St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Plainfield, and the Ladies Bible Class of the Sunday School. She was active in all phases of the church, having taught for 50 years in the Junior High Department of the Sunday School. She was also a member of the Golden Age Club of Carlisle.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by: a daughter, Mrs. J. Maynard Weary, RD1, Newville; a son, Boyd Stanley, Plainfield; a sister, Mrs. Samuel Brownawell, RD2; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday in the St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Plainfield, with the Rev. Richard D. Reichard, officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery. Friends may call tomorrow evening at the Roth Funeral Home, Walnut Bottom Road at Belvedere Street, and on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.
