Actor, Director. Born in Evant, Texas, he graduated from Texas Technological University in Lubock, moved to New York in 1936 and attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where he later taught. As a director, he was best known for directing the TV series “77 Sunset Strip” (1961-62), “The Partridge Family” (1970) and “Maverick” (1957). For feature films, he appeared in “Sonic Boom” (1974) “Sing, Cowboy, Sing” (1981), plus in the TV series “The Fay Emerson Show”, “Surfside 6” and the documentary, “American Rebel: The Dean Reed Story”. In addition he was a acting coach at the Actor’s Studio, New York. He died of cancer at age 65 in Cedars Sinai Medical Center Los Angeles, California. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
