JAMESTOWN Barbara (Bobbie) Turner Cobb, 66, died Sunday, July 7, 2002, at High Point Regional Hospital.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Jamestown Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
She was predeceased by her father, James Eston Turner and her brother, James E. Turner, Jr.
Mrs. Cobb was a member and elder and choir member at Jamestown Presbyterian Church. She taught school for 30 years in Guilford County. She was a counselor at Southwest High School and influenced many young peoples lives. She was also a volunteer at the High Point Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Cobb is survived by two sons, Joe Carroll Clayton, IIand wife, Melody of Thomasville and Keith Turner Clayton and fiance Rhonda Engstrom of Jamestown; mother, Doris Amos Turner of Danville, Va.; sister, Mary Ann Cook and husband, William H. Cook of Bay Shore, N.Y.; grandchildren, Brandon Clayton, Sage Dakota Clayton, Maggie Pope, Carley Bullman and Dennis Bullman.
The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel and other times at Mrs. Cobbs residence.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Ronald McDonald House, 419 Hawthorne Road, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27103 or to Jamestown Presbyterian Church, 1804 Guilford College Rd., Jamestown, N.C. 27282.
