Father of Elizabeth Hedgman met Thomas Triplett met after the Battle of Cowpens.

THOMAS TRIPLETT (William 3),(William 2) (Francis 1)
Was the grantee in a Deed from his brother John Triplett. He lived in Culpeper County and was an Ensign in Col. Thomas Slaughter's Regiment 1756 (see a reference to him in the "virginia Magazine" 63). He married Hannah ? and hi will was probated in Culpepper County in 1778. He mentions in it wife Hannah and his children (will Bk B. page 253). Hannah Triplett's will was recorded 1781. Thomas Triplett received <150 by the will of "Peter Hedgman, Gentleman" proved in Stafford County, Aug. 12,1765. Judge George W. Triplett says that the Triplett and Hedgman families were related. Their children were:
(72)George Triplet. He may have been the Lieutenant George Tiplett, who recieved bounty land for services in the Revolution (Bk 1 page 39-Land Office). He was grantor in a Deed in Culpeper County 1786.
(73)Peter Triplett was a soldier in the Revolution and received bounty lands (Bok 2 page 724,Land Office). He was a pensioner and was living in 1841, age 88. He served in the Virginia Stat Line ("History of St. Mark's Culpeper." Part II. page 128
