The blonde haired, green eyed actress made a name for herself playing devoted housewives, best friends, and good girls during the 1940s and 50s. Following her graduation from high school in 1944, she worked professionally as a model and pin-up girl which led to a beauty contest win, Miss Photo Flash of 1945, which garnered a contract with RKO Radio Pictures where she made her film debut in 'The Locket' (1946). Among films she appearanced in were 'Desperate' (1947), 'Dick Tracy's Dilemma' (1947), 'If You Knew Susie' (1948), 'I Cheated The Law' (1949), 'South of Rio' (1949), 'Code of the Silver Sage' (1950), and 'Gasoline Alley' (1951). She also starred in television on 'Doctor I.Q.' followed by 'Lux Video Theatre'. She left the profession in 1954 to focus on marriage and raising her family.
