|Birth: ||Sep. 16, 1942|
|Death: ||Jun. 18, 2012|
On Monday, June 18, 2012, Martin "Junior" Thomas Cash Jr. climbed on board the train bound for Glory. When he arrived, he was greeted by his father and mother, Martin Thompson Cash and Bertha Mae Cash (Lemonds). He was also greeted by his two sisters, Norma Jo and Peggy Yvonne (Bonnie). In the crowd were a nephew, Fred, and great-niece, Sarah Beth, along with a host of other family and friends awaiting his arrival.
Not boarding the train at this time are his wife, Mary Ella Cash of Shawnee; a son, Martin Thomas Cash III "Trey" and his wife, Linda, of Prague; daughter, Valarie Diane Gray and her husband, Chris, of Oklahoma City; daughter, Erin Elizabeth Summers and her husband, Adam, of Reno, Nev. Also two step-daughters, Krystal Loyd of Oklahoma and Melissa Loyd of Shawnee; 10 grandkids; two great-grandkids and a long a glorious list of other family and friends awaiting their time to see him again.
Martin spent 22 years working for the Veterans Administration as a benefits counselor. Nothing pleased him more than helping veterans receive their benefits, and he worked tirelessly for them. He retired from that position shortly after April 19, 1995, when he walked out of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, a survivor.
He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Meeker Masonic Lodge No. 479 for 48 years. He loved his computer and loved forwarding and sending emails. Finding new family members and helping others find theirs brought him great joy while doing genealogy. He had great wit and his thoughts or rants, be they political or not, will be missed by many.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, June 29, at the Paden Cemetery pavilion in Paden.
In lieu of flowers, Martin and the family request that you please make donations in his name to the Masonic Charity Foundation, Frontier Hospice or the Dean McGee Eye Institute.
