Archie Cullen, 94, Milton, died Saturday, Aug. 20 at Rock Haven Nursing Home, where he had resided for the past year.
He was born in Paisely, Scotland June 28, 1883 and came to Koshkonong Station at the age of 16. He lived in the Milton area most of his life. He was a supervisor at Woodward Govenor at Rockford, Ill. during World War II and later farmed and worked at the Midland Co-op at Milton. He was also Milton township assessor for several years.
He married Katie Christiansen in 1908. [She died ???? He later married Anna Nelson Stockman.] She died Aug. 27, 1971.
Surviving are three daughters, Eva Ogren, Long Beach, Calif.; Elma Stahl, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Jean Pommerneck, Whittier, Calif.; four step-children, Robert Stockman, Madison; Mrs. Beulah Rudisill, Mrs. Gerald Lewis and Westly Stockman, Milton; four grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jenny Addie, Milton and Mary Sanger, Venice, Florida; several nieces and nephews. Five brothers and one sister predeceased him.
Services were held Tuesday, Aug. 23 at 2 p.m. from Albrecht Funeral Home with Rev. Joan Deming Cavallo officiating. Burial was in Milton Junction Cemetery with Ward Cullen, Dean Cullen, Malcolm Cullen, Gary Stockman, Jack Roberts and Jim Roberts as pallbearers.
