Martin Brehl



The funeral of Martin Brehl was held from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ferdinand (Lucy) Jacobs, 26 Park avenue, this morning at 9 o'clock. A solemn high mass of requiem was celebrated in St. Nicholas Church at 9:30 o'clock and was largely attended. There were a number of floral offerings. Internment was in St. Nicholas Cemetery on Darling street. Rev. William Brehl, a cousin of the deceased, was celebrant of the mass. Rev. Charles Goeckel was deacon and Rev. Joseph Oberheizer was sub deacon. The pallbearers were: Chris, Martin, George and John Klein, John Senghaas and Nicholas Smith.

By the will of Martin Brahl, late of Wilkes-Barre City, probated today, he leaves his entire estate valued at $10,000, to be divided in equal parts among his children, Rose Frank, Lucy C. Jacobs, Lulu Boyer, Anna Halter, Matilda Reis, sons Edward, John, and Harry Brahl and Edward Dettmore. He names his son-in-law, Ferdinand Jacobs, executor.
