The Rev. James Rdward Dorman 61 of 1009 E. Burlington died the morning of Aug 12 of a heart attack at Christian Conference Center in Newton.
He and his wife had been attending a youth conference there as councelors. He was minister of First Christian Church here since August of 1974.
He was born Jan. 4, 1917, in Selma, Ala. to James E. SR. and Clemmie Arnold Dorman. He married Minnie Priester Dec. 25, 1942 in Selma, Ala.
He received A BA degree from Johnson Bible College and a Master Degree from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis.
