J.W.S. Kennedy died Tuesday night as the clock was striking eleven at the home of his son, Jess, near Franklin School. Remains were buried in Caddo Cemetery Wednesday afternoon at 5 o'clock. Mr. Kennedy was 80 years of age, had lived near Caddo some 30 years, coming from Fannin County, Texas. He was a farmer and lecturer, a member of the Baptist Church. He and Mrs. Kennedy had been married 60 years and she survives him with 4 sons, Will, Jim, Jess, and Ech; 2 daughters, Mrs. M.E. Griffs, Hugo and Mrs. Liza Park, Caddo.
