Ik Cha "Jeannie" Stranghoener, 64 of New Haven, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at St. John's Mercy Hospital, Washington Co.,
Mrs, Stranghoener, the d/o the late II Young Kim and wife Chong Sun,'nee' Cloe, was born March 10, 1946 in Taeku, South Korea.
She was untied in marriage with Roland C. "Red" Stranghoener in 1968 In Korea. This union was blessed with three sons, and two daughters.
Mr. And Mrs. Stranghoener were members of Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Port Hudson. They also owned and operated Red's Auto Repair, Gerald Co.
Besides her parents she was preceeded in death by her husband Roland "Red" Stranghoener, and one son Teddy Stranghoener.
She is survived by two sons, Moo Young Stranghoener and his wife Mi Hye, Omaha, Nebraska.and James Stranghoener, Warrensburg; two daughters , Mary Stranghoener,Hause Springs, and Teresa Skorniua and husband Joseph , Rosebud; one brother-in-law, Willard Stranghoener, New Haven, 14 grandchildren, 6 great-greandchildren, and many relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, 3 July, at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Port Hudson, with the Rev. Bill Zastrow officiating.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
Memorials to the Ebenezer Lutheran Church and Larry Rice Ministries are preferred.
The Stranghoener family was serviced by the Oltmann Funeral Home, Gerald.
