Rebecca Leonard (7/12/1830 Pa.-8/1913) Irvine was born the daughter of Levi Leonard (2/22/1809-9/10/1879) and Elizabeth Cargill Leonard from Coydon, Pa. (12/25/1810).

Her siblings were: Sarah (1/1/1832-) Leonard Lawton (Billings Lawton), Jerone B. Leonard (12/15/1835-1/15/1859), Abigail Leonard (3/22/1837-) (John Bailet), Joseph Leonard(9/4/1839-), Mary Adelaide "Addie" Leonard ((11/24/1842-) Baker (George Baker), Levi Leonard Jr. (12/20/1844-) died young, Frank A. Leonard ((5/21/1846-) Robert Leonard (4/2/1848-1851) drowned in river at age 3, Sarah Leonard (10/3/1850-) Schoonmaker (Hon. E. R. Schoonermaker), and Bradley Leonard ((2/28/1853-11/15/1875) died of an injury from coupling cars.

Rebecca attended public schools in Wiilcottville Seminary.

She married Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Irvine (1819-1878), on July 12, 1830. He was the son of Andrew Irvine (5/28/1787/89-) and Catherine McAffee Irvine.
In 1842/3 Frank and Rebecca moved to what became known as Irvine Mills. Benjamin bought 5000 acreas. He built several saw mills. this prompted a village to grow and the village used his name. John Irvine Family History site

Guy C Irvine (1850-), Andrew L Irvine (1854-1855), Jerome N Irvine (1855-1859), Leonard C Irvine (1856-1896), Benjamin F Irvine (1859-) (sp. Mary Clark) and DeWitt C Irvine (1866-1867).

After Benjamin died Rebecca lived with her daughter Mary at 48 E. Corydon Street, Bradford, Pa. -John Irvine-Family History site

Mrs. E. R. Schoonmaker was called to Bradford Monday evening by the illness of her sister, Mrs. Rebecca Irvine, who passed away Tuesday morning at 2 o'clock. Deceased, who was 88 years of age was a most estimable person and endeared herself to all her knew her. She is survived by one brother Joseph Leonard and one sister Mrs. Sarah Schoonmaker of this place, one daughter Mary Andrews and on granddaughter Rebecca Irvine of Bradford.
