Ethel M. Simmons, 76 of Milmine, IL. passed away at 7:54 a.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the Bement Township Cemetery, Bement. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions can be made to the Piatt County Animal Shelter.
Ethel was born on November 20, 1935 in Illinois a daughter of John W. and Mary Shupp Yingst. She married Everett "Leon" Simmons on July 10, 1954 in Clay County, IL. and he passed away on October 3, 2001. Surviving are 3 sons; Michael L.(Vicki)Simmons of Monticello, IL., Randy L.(Judy)Simmons of Bement, IL. and Jeffrey G.(Jackie)Simmons of Milmine,Il. Also surviving are 8 granddaughters, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 brothers and 7 sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
