Funeral services were held Sunday, May 24, 1970 at 2:30 p.m. at the Baptist Church in Steele for Russ Rinehart. Rev. James F. McCrary officiated.
Mr. Rinehart was born October 2, 1892, at Clifton, Tenn., and died May 22, 1970 at the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital in Hayti at the age of 77.
A veteran of World War I, he was a member of Steele Lodge No. 634 AF and AM. He was married to Grace Morgan at Cooter on June 16, 1916 and was the father of four children. A son, Russ Jr., preceded him in death.
He leaves the following: his wife, Mrs. Grace Rinehart of Steele; two sons, J.W. and C.E. Rinehart, both of Steele; one daughter, Mrs. John Barker of Obion, Tenn.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two nephews; and one niece.
Interment was in the Mount Zion Cemetery at Steele with the John W. German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were C.O. McCollum, Troy Googe, Johnnie Carter, John D. Holt, Ralph Wafler and Luke Howell.
