Mary Ellen Fellows, 91, of Bremerton died March 9, 1998, at Bremerton Convalescent Center. She was born April 26, 1906, in Spearfish, S.D. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Washington. In 1935, she married Walter Fellows in Bremerton. Mrs. Fellows retired in 1964 from the Bremerton School District after serving many years as an elementary school librarian and a special education teacher.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Benjamin T. of Port Townsend; two daughters, Sharon Masters Sipple of Seabeck and Mary Cleo Carpenter of Bremerton; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. March 22 at Manette Community Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Manette Community Church.

Mary was preceded in death by her father and mother, Benjamin Boice and Mary Ellen Towle Boice, and her brothers Edward, Kinsley & Mark Boice.
