Sarah Elizabeth Whitbeck, daughter of Semour/Seymour and Lucy M. Foster Whitbeck. Her father was born in Copake, Columbiana County, NY and her mother was born in CT. They died before she was a teenager, possibly killed by Indians, leaving their children orphaned. Sarah first married Adam Howell and had a daughter Mary, second married James W. Pearson and had a son James (Jim), and third married Henry Boka and had children Lillie, Minnie, Maude, Katie, Tonie (my great-grandmother), Claude, Lottie. She was a resident of Moultrie County and Macon County, IL; Grayson Co, TX; and Neosho County and Labette County, Kansas.
