Rose Allen, 78, Rockford Illinois, died Tuesday March 29, 1988, at the Taylor County Hospital after a short illness. She was born in Poland on September 3, 1909, to the late John and Nellie Pawlus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn E. Allen, on May 21, 1974. She is survived by two daughters, Trudy Tucker, Campbellsville, and Cathy Deadmond, Rockford, Illinois, Emil Pawlus, Rockford, Illinois; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several other relatives and a host of friends. The funeral was at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Larry Koch. The graveside service was Friday, April 1, at 10:30 a.m. at the Arlington Memorial Cemetery in Rockford, Illinois, by the Rev. Daniel A. Brosi.
