Southwest novelist-a founding member of the Old Santa Fe Association-. Best known for her 1948 novel The Wind Leaves No Shadow about Santa Fe gambler La Tules. Also wrote (as Ruth Laughlin Barker) Caballeros, a book about the history, culture, and architecture of Santa Fe.
