Roberta M. Hosac, 75, of Lower Burrell, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012, in the VA Hospital, in Oakland. She was born July 27, 1936, in Bethlehem, to the late Henry and Mildred (Mohring) Jordan and had lived in the Lower Burrell area most of her life. She was formerly employed as a prep cook for Eat 'N Park in New Kensington and as a bartender for Hanes Tavern in Lower Burrell. Roberta attended St. Margaret Mary Church in Lower Burrell. She was a member of American Legion Post 868 in Lower Burrell and was a member of the Lower Burrell VFW for many years. She was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Air Force. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed collecting coins and cooking. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers; first husband, John Trulik; and second husband, Stephen Hosac. Survivors include three daughters, Donna Maier (John Carnahan), of New Kensington, Debra (Lee) Cochran, of Lower Burrell, and Stephanie Hosac (Todd Pollick), of Lower Burrell; grandchildren, Jonathan and Shannon Maier, Shawn and Ryan Cochran, and Cassidy and Sydney Pollick; and one great-grandson, Devin Cochran. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the FRANK F. GIGLER FUNERAL HOME, 2877 Leechburg Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068, where services will be held at 7 p.m. after visitation. Burial in Greenwood Memorial Park, in Lower Burrell, will be private.
