D.J. was preceded in death by his father, Durward Sr.; and brother, Fred.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in Morrows Meadows, Yorktown. Friends may gather one hour prior to services in the park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Yorktown Odd Fellows, through Gant Funeral Home @2215 S. Broadway, Yorktown, IN 47396. D.J. donated to this organization for the past several years for the Holiday Gift baskets during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
