Along with Niles Rodgers, Edwards provided the music for such hits as "Dance, Dance, Dance," "Le Freak," and "Good Times." Rodgers & Edwards were on tour in Japan when Edwards came down with a case of pneumonia and died in his sleep. He was buried near other family members in his home town of Greenwich, Connecticut.
