DEATH OF MRS. HENRY MESSNER. Emma, wife of Henry Messner died on Saturday from Pulmonary trouble. She was 41 years of age. Her maiden name was Remp. Deceased is survived by her husband and four children, trwo sons and two daughters. Funeral on Thursday, Feb. 21. Services at the house at 9:30 o'clock, whence the remain's will be taken to Remp's church. The scholar's of Eshelman's Sunday School will furnish the singing, the deceased having been a member of the school.

FUNERAL OF MRS. HENRY MESSNER (Nee REMP)
The funeral of Emma, wife of Henry Messner, was well attended. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Remp (nee Eshelman). Deceased is survived by her mother, her husband and these children: Luke D., Harvey E., Hattie A., Saluma M. and Sue D., all at home. Henry Remp of Mohnton; Albert Remp of Reading; Charles of Montana; Annie, wife of William Maurer of Reading; Sarah, wife of Richard Matz of Mohnton; and Katie, widow of Augustus Hertz of Reading, are brothers and sisters of deceased. She was a member of the United Evangelical Church and of Eshelman's Union Sunday School. It was her desire that the school should do the singing at the funeral. The remains rested in a solid walnut casket with silver-plated handles. The body was attires in a cloth robe and covered with an elderdown blanket. Rev. Benjamin Weaver of Spring Grove, Lancaster County, preached an interesting sermon from Revelations 14:22: "Blessed are they that do His commandments that they may have right to the tree of life and may enter in through the gates and into the city." The bearers were; Abraham Weitzel; John Schweitzer; William Glassmire and Henry Kissinger. Undertaker Messner, of Bowmansville had charge.
