MRS. ELLEN KIRBY ALLEN
Mrs. Ellen Kirby Allen, age 84, of 202 North Main Street, Roanoke, died in the West Georgia Medical Center on Saturday, April 7, 1979.
Mrs. Allen is survived by three sons, Fred May of Roanoke, Grant May Sr. of Shawmut, and Joe Bob May of Huntsville; two daughters, Mrs. Loyette Hester of West Point, Ga., and Mrs. Lucille Henderson of Hendersonville, N.C.; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. R. L. Johnson of Fairborn, Ga., Mrs. R. Y. Roberts of Dothan and Mrs. Morris Brumbeloe of Roanoke.
Funeral services for Mrs. Allen were conducted Monday afternoon at two o'clock from the Church of Christ in Roanoke, Gerald Romine and Dr. Hugh Peacock officiating, with burial in the White's Chapel Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Hester, George Hester, Charles H. May, Grant May, Jr. Stephen May and Joey Henderson.
