GLENDIVE – Lawrence H. Alrick, 83, of Glendive, died Saturday in Glendive Community Nursing Home.


He was born May 10, 1891, in Perley, Minn., and moved to Oregon in 1898, where he grew up and attended school in Silverton.


Mr. Alrick worked as manager of the Western Union in Corvallis, Ore., Baker, Ore., Everett, Wash., and Yakima, Wash. He married May Hurley Dec 24, 1921, in Baker. He started work for the Northern Pacific Railroad in 1946, in Spokane, Wash., and that same year moved to Glendive. In 1964, he retired.


Survivors include the widow; three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Colgan of Salem, Ore., Mrs. Esther Miller of Eugene, Ore., and Mrs. Rosella Stearns of Portland, Ore., and a brother, Harold of Silverton, Ore.


Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Silvernale Mortuary, with the Rev. Thomas Harney officiating. Burial will be in Dawson Memorial Park.


*Death Certificate states that Lawrence H. Alrick died on 29 Mar 1975, cause of death was Cerebral Vascular Accident (stroke).
