Ronnie D. Garner, age 56, of Rockford, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at Blount Memorial Hospital.

He attended Old Chilhowee Baptist Church. He worked at Alcoa Aluminum Co. for 32 years and was dedicated to his family. He was a loving grandfather and father and will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Della Reagan Garner and sisters, Ann Burchfield and Cleo Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Porterfield Garner; daughters and son-in-law, Bridget Garner of Maryville, Melissa and Jeff Kilby of Townsend, and Sonya Boling of Maryville; grandchildren, Jeffery, Cody and Kayla; sisters, Shirley Henry, Catherine Hawn, Agnes Romines; and brothers, Herman, Doug, David Ray, and Audley Garner.

Funeral services will be held at 8:00 PM Friday, May 12, 2006 at Miller Funeral Home Cedar Chapel, Rev. John Russell officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 PM Saturday at Old Chilhowee Baptist Cemetery in Seymour for the interment. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 PM Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
