Raymond Smalheiser entered the military on March 13, 1942, at Camp Upton Yaphank, New York. A supply sergeant now, S/Sgt. Raymond Smalheiser was assigned to Co A., 38th Armored Infantry Battalion, 7th Armored Division. He sacraficed his life near St. Vith, Belgium.
This engagement was known as The Battle Of The Bulge.
