Jessie Rosenkranz passed away in East San Diego, California on July 1, 1933. Jessie was born December 13, 1860 in Greenfield, Colchester County, Nova Scotia, the daughter of Ralph Johnson McCabe and Jane Barnes Downing. About 1880 she moved to Minnesota with her brother, Henry, and sisters, Nancy Jane Thompson and Emily MacLean. Jessie married Alfred Jackson Ayers in Minnesota in 1882. To this union were born twin sons, Fred S. Ayers and Edward B. Ayers on November 20, 1889 in Marion, Illinois. In 1906, the Ayers family moved to Valleyford, Washington near Spokane where Alfred passed away on January 1, 1911. Jessie then married widower Earnest G. Rozenkranz at Valleyford on October 23, 1915. The couple lived in Yakima for a time before moving to San Diego, California where she died in 1933. She was laid to rest in Tahoma Cemetery near her second husband, E. G. Rozenkranz.
