John Price was the son of Homer and Libbie Price. He was born March, 1898. Siblings were Joseph "Joe" William born 1891 and Harvey born Nov. 1894. Joe died in 1954 Stonewall, OK of a tractor accident (Find a Grave #26036012) and Harvey died in 1981 Ada, OK at a nursing home (Find a Grave #26036441). Homer was born in died in New York. Libbie, his mother, apparently had died by the 1900 census.

After John's mother died leaving 3 small children, at least 2 of the boys Harvey and Joseph were supposedly put on one of the Orphan Trains and ended up in Levelland, Texas. Later they came to Oklahoma and lived out their lives.

Joe Price, John's brother, was father of Orval Price of Ada, OK; Wendell Price of Stonewall, Gertie Lee Price Long of Ada, OK, Bertie Thelma Price Chambers of Chowchilla, CA; Condon, Eunice, and Mary Nell who died in childhood and believed to be buried in Letitia Cemetery near Lawton, OK. Orval Price is buried in Rosedale Cemetery in Ada, OK; Bertie Thelma Price Chambers is buried in Chowchilla Cemetery, Chowhilla, CA; Wendell Price is buried in Highland Cemetery in Stonewall, OK. Gertie Lee Long is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery in Ada, OK. Other relatives buried in Memorial Park are Gertie Lee's husband Ray, Joe and Jessie Price--John's brother and wife, and Harvey Price--John's brother.

I (Nancy Allen) am assuming that John Price is probably named after his grandfather John Price.

Sadly, I, Nancy Allen, an ancestor of John Price do not know what happened to him after the age of 2 when he was last mentioned in the 1900 Census, Corning Ward 1, Steuben Co., NY. I am assuming he probably died in early childhood.
