Beth Lorraine Johansen Clark, 81, passed away of cancer on June 6, 2012. She was a 29-year breast cancer survivor.

Beth was born November 21, 1930 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Francis and Dorma Johansen. She was the fourth child of six children. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Smith, LaVon, Lucille, Donna and Jerry. She married Gerald Brent Clark in Provo, February 15th 1950. They were later sealed in the Provo Temple in 1975. He preceded her in death.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had served as Stake and Ward Relief Society President.

Beth was a gifted seamstress and enjoyed making clothing, costumes and quilts for those that she loved. She worked for a number of years at Mr. Mac's in alterations and cherished her association with the people there. After retiring, she served for many years as a seamstress at the MTC in Provo.

Beth was an avid shopper, reader and poet. She was a lifelong Democrat. She had a quick and dry wit. She loved to attend baptisms, courts of honor, marriages and birthday celebrations of her grandchildren. She loved a celebration of any kind and always decorated her home for every holiday.

Beth is survived by her children: Brenda Moore (Larry), Jerry Clark (Bonnie), Toni Porter (Evan), Tami Farnsworth (Jack), and Traci Parkinson (Layne), twenty-four grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.

Beth had been a widow for over 15 years. She was very independent, but was blessed with compassionate neighbors and ward members who enriched her life. Beth's family would like to thank the Grow family, the Rentz family and her friends including Arla, Georgia, Polly and Suni, and her caregivers Alex Glacier, Dr. Marshall Willis, Dr. Nathan Rich, Dr. Grayden Harker and Sunrise Hospice staff.

A viewing will be held Saturday, June 9th, 2012 at Berg Mortuary, 185 East Center Street, Provo, from 10 a.m. until noon. Family graveside service to follow.
