Betty M. (Bolton) Bingham, age 65, of the Jarvis community of Barbourville died Friday, June 4, 2010 in the Saint Joseph Hospital in London. She was a daughter of the late Charlie and Sarah Jane (Irvin) Bolton, born to them on October 13, 1944 at Boreing in Laurel County, Kentucky. Betty had worked for American Greeting Card Corporation for over 22 years, and was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church. On August 23, 1969, she united in marriage to Greene Bingham and to this union a daughter: Shelly, and a son: Keith were born. She was preceded in death by her parents: Charlie and Sarah Jane (Irvin) Bolton; two brothers-in-law: Earl Smith and Otis Redman; and by her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Rev. Paul and Alice (Messer) Bingham.
Betty is survived by her loving family: Her husband of over 40 years: Greene Bingham of the Jarvis Community. Her son: Keith Bingham and wife, Misty of Perryville, Kentucky. Her daughter: Shelly Reeves and husband, Rick of the Jarvis Community. Her 5 grandchildren: Jonathan Tyler Bingham, Samantha Reeves, Ryan Reeves, Lillian Danielle Keebortz and Christian Logan Keebortz. Her 6 brothers and sisters: Ralph Mason and wife, Marylin of Indiana; Elsie Bennett of Portage, Indiana; Doris Bullock of Hobert, Indiana; Charles D. Bolton of Granite City, Illinois; Quetin Bolton and wife, Shirley of Lake Station, Indiana; and Shirley Redman of Niles, Michigan. Her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Helen (Bingham) McKenzie and husband, Dave of Barbourville; Stella (Bingham) Smith of Barbourville; Judy (Bingham) Cobb and husband, Rev. William R. "Mann" Cobb of Woollum; Paul Bingham and wife, Wanda of Batavia, Ohio; and James Bingham and wife, Christy of Lexington, Kentucky; and a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral Services for Betty M. (Bolton) Bingham will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the New Bethel Baptist Church at Cranes Nest with Rev. Lonnie Collett and Rev. Dennis Chesnut officiating. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery. Those serving as Pallbearers will be: David McKenzie, Jim Noe, Jason Redman, Jonathan Bingham, Dr. Eddie Smith and Eddie Joe Smith. Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be all friends and neighbors of the Bingham Family. Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. The Bingham family will receive friends after 6:00 P.M. on Monday at the Hopper Funeral Home, and on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
