Joyce Ard, age 82, a native of Pensacola, FL, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday afternoon June 4, 2012 surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Ard, mother, Myrtle Smallwood, father, William Smallwood, and daughter, Bonnie Mathes.
Joyce leaves behind her sons, Darryl (Bonnie) Ard, Alan (Jackie) Ard, and daughter Charlotte (Phillip) Reedy, a brother, Louis Smallwood, companion, Henry Hewitt, Eight grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home at 10:00 am on June 8, 2012, followed by services at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Jay Reaves, Chad Brown, Craig Brown, Curt Ard, Keith Ard and Christopher Pettey.
We would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Homestead Village Building I and Covenant Hospice for their outstanding support.
