POESZAT, Gunter Ervin - Age 73, of Fenton, died after a long illness, Friday, December 30, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 6, 2011 at Faith Luthean Church, 12534 Holly Road, Grand Blanc. Pastor Gerald Harms officiating. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Thursday from 6-9 PM and at the church Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the Salvation Army. Mr. Poeszat was born March 28, 1938 in Germany, the son of Herman Otto and Mathilda H. (Wallat) Poeszat. He was a 1964 graduate of Pittsburgh Academy. He married Hertha Guist May 6, 1960 in Homestead, PA. Mr.Poeszat retired in 2001 from Richmond Brothers after 44 years of service. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He also was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler and Detroit Tiger fan. Surviving are: wife, Hertha; 3 children, Erin M. and husband Quinton McLeish of Howell, Jeffrey G. and wife Patti Poeszat of Commerce Township and Christa R. Poeszat of Fenton; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; sister, Brigittte and husband Dieter Niemeyer of Venice, FL; several nieces and nephews.
