Rev. Snow was the first member of his church, the Freewill Baptist Church of North Berwick, to go to divinity school and to be ordained as a Baptist preacher. He went to Colby College, Waterville Maine and later to Newton Seminary, Andover Massachusetts. He was known as a Hebrew and Greek scholar.
