Raymond L. Arzberger
The graveside service for former Emporian Raymond Arzberger of Edwardsville will be held Friday at 10:30 A.M. at the Patio Garden in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The Rev. E.A. Troyer will conduct the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Capper Crippled Children's Foundation and may be sent to Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Arzberger died Monday at his home. Edwardsville police said he died of a self-inflected gunshot wound to the head.
Raymond Leo Arzberger was born Feb. 12, 1912, at Kansas City, Mo., the son of Thomas Henry and Mattie E. Anderson Arzberger. He was a private taxicab driver in the Kansas City stockyards area before he retired in 1983. He also had been a special deputy in Wyandotte County.
Mr. Arzberger is survived by a brother, Charles Arzberger of Cub, N.Y.; a sister, Anna May Clapper of Corona, Calif., and nieces and nephews. His parents and three sisters, Dorothy Kyle, Helen Reser and Alma Kuykendall, died earlier.
