(Age 85)
Passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2010 in Spokane WA. Crabby Abby was the first of eight children born to Harvey and Marie Sanborn and was raised in Sandpoint, ID until the family moved to Spokane, where she graduated from Rogers High School, Class of 1944.
While in the 9th grade Abby achieved the highest score on a state wide intelligence test.
After her marriage she moved to Ballard returning to Spokane several years later.
Abby worked as the office manager at Pratt Furniture Co. She then worked for the city as a records clerk for The Spokane Police Department. Abby transferred to the Municipal Court of Spokane from which she retired.
A devout coffee drinking Lutheran she was a charter member of All Saints Lutheran Church. She was greatly loved and will be missed. We'll never be able to look at a Maxine card without thinking of her.
Abby is survived by her daughter Sandi Crabtree; son Chrstphre Campbell; grandchildren Don Crabtree, Deana (Ernest) Wickert and Derrick (Brandi) Crabtree; great-grandchildren Sierra Crabtree, Blake Crabtree and Kaden Wickert;
brothers Norman, Hod (Virginia), Corky (Brigitte), Mike (Susan) and K.C. (Lynda) Sanborn;
sisters Beverly Patterson and Ila (Joe) Simpson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be Monday, December 13, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at All Saints Lutheran Church, 314 S. Spruce. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Union Gospel Mission, 1224 E.
