Evelyn Carnathan Trainer age 85 of Wood St, Clarion, PA died 6/3/12 at the Golden Living in Shippenville after an extended illness.

Born May 25, 1927 in Rimersburg, she was one of seven children of Dale Carnahan and Ruth Gourley Carnathan, both preceded her in death.

Evelyn was married to Gerald Trainer on September 29, 1989 and he survives.

She was a graduate of Rimersburg High School. For 17 years Evelyn was secretary of the First United Methodist Church in Clarion and remained an active member of the Church. She was also one of the starting members of the Bi-County Artists Association.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Gerald Trainer of Clarion are two children, Cathy and her husband Robert Lucas of Minerva, OH and James Hawk and his companion Tony Teal of Nashville, Tenn, two step children, Joyce and her husband Scott Dinsmore of Costa Rica and Janice and her husband Thomas Hartle of Clarion. Two grandchildren, Jeremy Lucas of Minerva, OH and Brandy (Jeremy) Hahn of Damacus, OH, five step grandchildren, TJ Hartle of Erie, Tim (Jill) Hartle of Taylorsville, NC, Jenni (Benjamin) Aronson of San Jose, Costa Rica, Abi (James) King of Phoenix, AZ and Gerald (Jenny) Trainer lll of Alberquera, New Mexico. Two great grandchildren, Ashley and Jaret and four step great grandchildren, Eric, Reeghan, Sienna and Stella. One sister, Jane Reed and two sister in laws, Kay Carnathan and Della Carnathan of Rimersburg along with numerous nephews and nieces through the US and Australia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Betty Walters, Gladys Eddy and Lucille Kifer and two brothers, Leroy and Gary Carnathan.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory in Clarion. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Clarion with Rev. Dr. Deryl K. Larsen officiating.

Interment will follow in the Clarion Cemetery.
