Canadian Politician. A native of La Malbaie (Québec), he studied at the Saint-Charles-Borromée seminary in Sherbrooke and at “l'École de laiterie” of Saint-Hyacinthe. He became a farmer specialized in the dairy industry. He was a recipient of the Agricultural Merit Order. He served as President of the Agriculture Society of Charlevoix. He worked as secretary-treasurer of the town of La Malbaie, from 1908 to 1914. On the town council of La Malbaie, he served first as alderman, from 1902 to 1908 and as mayor, from 1914 to 1920. He was also Prefect of the county of Charlevoix, from March 14, 1917 to March 8, 1921. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly as the Liberal representative for the district of Charlevoix-Saguenay in 1919. He was re-elected in 1923, but was defeated when he run as an . Demolishes like independent Liberal candidate in 1927. He worked as Sheriff of the district of Saguenay in 1927 and 1928. He passed away in his hometown. (bio by: Guy Gagnon)
