"At his late home Saturday morning, the 3d inst. at Toddsville, occurred the death of Ira Butts, after an illness of nearly three years' duration, of heart trouble and complications. Mr. Butts was able to be about until Thursday morning when an acute attack rendered him unconscious, until the end. Mr. Butts was seventy-four years of age last Christmas, and had been a resident of Toddsville for seventy-two years, being with one exception the oldest continuous resident. Mr. Butts was born in Morris and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. United in marriage with Miss Frances Silliman fifty years ago November 13th last, to them were born a son, Clarence, and a daughter, Jessie, all residing at Toddsville. Mr. Butts entered the employ of the Clark Estates thirty-nine years ago last May, and continued with them until three years ago, a service of thirty-six years ...
