Anna Lawson, 73, of Girdler, a daughter of the late Martin and Cordia Smith Prince, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2004 in Knox County Hospital. Her husband, Charlie Lawson preceded her in death. She attended Hughes Hill Holiness Church. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by nine sons, Henry Lawson and wife Alma of Girdler, Joe Dee Lawson and wife Nancy of Barbourville, Tom Lawson and wife Sue of Girdler, Darrell Lawson and wife Oma of Girdler, Ken Lawson and wife Alice of Flat Lick Jessie Lawson and wife Anna of Girdler, Lowell Lawson and wife Lisa of Corbin, Larry Lawson and wife Juanita of Barbourville and T.J. Lawson, also of Girdler; four daughters, Jenople Hubbard and husband Lowell of Girdler, Juanita Mary Banks and husband Tim of Michigan, Brenda Marion and husband Ben of Girdler and Vicky Shelton of Barbourville; 43 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren. Services were conducted on Wednesday, March 24 in Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. James Mooneyham and Harold Gene Smith officiating.

Burial was in Martin Cemetery at Bimble. Hampton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Anna was the 3rd cousin 1x removed of Lee Smith.
