McCAW RITES
Services for Hershell Emmett McCaw will be at 2 p.m. today at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, conducted by the Rev, W. Loyd Hellams. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Born in Baxley, Ga., he was a son of the late S.A. and Nellie Lowman McCaw. He was a retired Textile employee and a Baptist.
Surviving are his widow Mrs. Margie Brewer McCaw of Columbia; three sons, Robert S. and Charles F. McCaw of Columbia and Emmett Graylon McCaw of W. Va.; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Ruth Fulmer, Mrs. DeLane Hamm and Mrs. Vivian Wilson of Columbia; a brother, B.A. McCaw of Columbia; two sisters, Mrs Loretta Rish and Miss Willie Mae McCaw of West Columbia; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father and mother; three brothers; James Elmo McCaw of Columbia; John T. "Jake" McCaw of Vidalia, Ga.; Charles Robert "Rob" McCaw of Irmo.
The family suggests that those who wish may make memorials to Southside Baptist Church.
Mr McCaw, 69 of 817 Ohio St. Columbia, died Friday at his home aftwer a short illness.
