Glenda was an insurance agent for Kilpatrick Insurance for 20 yrs. She treasured the people she was able to meet during that time. She felt a special connection with each of her clients. She loved her church, Eastside Missionary Baptist, where she was one of the first members. She was a hard worker and strong woman that loved her family and Lord.
Meeting her at the Gates of Heaven were her parents, brother Billy Joe Elkins and sisters Nelwyn Burdine and Susie Spears.
Left to treasure her memory is her husband, Clyde D. Ellington of Minden sons Gary Ellington and wife Debbie of Baton Rouge, Kerry Lee Ellington and wife Samantha of Minden, granddaughters Kimberly Ellington and Kenzie Ellington of Minden and Kendall Ellington and Kristen Dyer of Baton Rouge and great grandchildren Porter Neal, Kylie Essex, Sailor Ellington and Kinsley Dyer. Also surviving are her brother Reese Elkins and sister Louise Mangrum of Minden, sister in law Nancy Ellington of Shreveport and special nephew Tom Mangrum of Minden.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 14th from 4:30 to 7:00pm at the Rose Neath Funeral Home in Minden La. Services will be at the Rose Neath Chapel on Monday, April 15th at 10am with Bro. Richard Methvin officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory.
